Nottingham Forest extended their unbeaten run to four Premier League matches, claiming two wins and two draws.
Forest achieved this by clinging to a draw for the entire second half with ten men, after Neco Williams was sent off for handball.
In the third minute of the first half, Forest were close to conceding from an effort outside the box from Lerma, which was saved well to Sels' low right.
Minutes later, Aina's long throw sparked a scramble in the box with headers flying back and forth. Munoz's header was chested down by Gibbs-White, who opened up his body to side-foot a volley into the bottom left corner of the net.
In the 23rd minute, Palace have a 4v2 advantage in defence, yet Gibbs-White manages to skip past his marker and feed Jesus in the penalty area, who hesitated too before shooting on goal which was deflected for a corner.
The pivotal moment in the match came when Williams blocked the header from Lerma on the line with his hand, which meant Forest went down to 10 men. Sarr scores the penalty and Morato comes on for Dominguez. From that point forward, it was clear Forest's game plan had shifted to holding on for the draw.
The second half was relatively quiet considering the man advantage Palace had, Gunn did not face a shot on goal and Forest's defence did well to close out the game and not concede.
As seen in the pass map, there were 4 substitutes in total for Forest, Morato slotted in at centre back and Murillo was played at left back to fill in for Williams. Yates and Gunn came on at half time, for injuries to Hudson-Odoi and Sels, which at the time there was no obvious injury to Sels, but Hudson-Odoi could be seen holding his shoulder at times
Two players stood out for me in this game. Gibbs-White for setting the example as a captain, covering ground while holding onto the draw for the entire second half. Also Milenkovic again, who had 8 clearances and 3 interceptions, more than any other player.
